The Well Understood Fretboard volume 2

In the Style of Michael Valeanu

The In The Style series focus strictly on the playing style of the artist. These are not general "how to" lessons. The goal of these lessons is to give insight on a wide range of topics relevant to the musical style of the artist.

Music is like a language, and it is best learnt by surrounding yourself with better musicians. The goal of the "In The Style Series" is to give you this access, as much as possible, in the comfort of your own home !

Volume 1

How to Approach A Jazz standard

During these four one-hour classes, we use the Cole Porter song "I Love You " in order to understand what my process is to efficiently learn a standard and preparing oneself to improvise over it.

With this $42 workshop, you will learn how to build the foundation ( know the tune inside and out ), prepare for improvisation ( Arpeggios, Chords, Scale ),  start the improvisation process ( build your own phrases and practice playing with the form ) and finally use an etude to apply all that you have learned as a recap.
